For those of you new to me or who just haven’t read me the last few Mondays, this is my regular feature where I highlight a blog from someone else that I enjoy. Why the #MondayBlogs ? By hashtagging, when this title appears on Twitter Rachel Thompson of @BadRedHeadMedia and @MondayBlogs retweets hoping to spread the blog love far and wide every Monday.
Do you like music? Steve Says… is a blog that’s a lot about music and a little about Steve’s cats and Dr. Who. You don’t have to like cats or Dr. Who to like Steve’s blog, but you do have to like music. His most popular weekly feature is the weekly Monday Music Mix where Steve posts three questions and then commands his readers to:
1) Go to the music player of your choice and put it on shuffle
(2) Say the questions aloud and press play
(3) Use the song title as your answers
(4) NO CHEATING
Title your post “Steve’s Music Mix – Week…” and link back to that week’s page.
This feature is tremendously popular across the blogiverse as I see many of my peers posting their Steve Says.. question responses every Monday. Steve may wonder why he never sees my Monday Music Mix responses. The answer is that my iPod is out in my car, so I never have it handy when I’m online, but I think I may have commented on every Doctor Who reference I’ve seen.
You don’t have to participate in the Monday Music Mix to enjoy Steve’s blog though. Many of his posts are about music. A lot of them are about the Eurovision Song Contest, which is an annual song contest held amongst the European countries. Each country submits a song to be performed on live television and radio and then casts votes for other countries songs to determine the most popular song in the competition. The contest has been running and on TV every year since 1956.
So enjoy the fun and spread the musical mania far and wide by visiting Steve Says… today and participate in the Monday Music Mix.

No worries Steve. And no need to be humbled. It’s not like its the Pope’s blog or anything. I just like to point people in the direction of great blogs. I may not comment often or participate in the Monday Music Mix (I swear I will someday) but I love music and I find your blog endlessly entertaining.
