This is the first time I’ve featured a musical artist a second time. The reason is that the first time I featured Elle King, I didn’t know that comedic actor Rob Schneider was her dad.
I first featured her last Spring because her song Ex’s & Oh’s was storming up the charts and I loved her voice. This song, America’s Sweetheart is the second single from her album Love Stuff.

I just heard that song for the first time on the radio last night. I actually asked Siri to name that tune because her voice reminded of something I would hear in a Tarantino movie. I just watched her father in the “ridiculous 6” on Netflix.

I am not a Rob Schneider fan – or Adam Sandler, but I have to admit I enjoyed the Ridiculous 6.

I tend to like women singers who have a lower or even husky edge, like Pink, Cissy–versus Whitney–Houston, Bonnie Raitt… Elle has one of those distinctive great voices, also.
