Climb aboard, we’re expecting you!
With Valentine’s Day tantalizingly close, I thought some of you 80’s aficionados would appreciate hearing that song again. Of all the old shows they’ve made updated, current versions of, why not The Love Boat? Who doesn’t want to see B-list celebrities from cancelled TV shows hooking up every week amidst a flimsy plot premise and corny dialogue? The original crew could make cameos. It would be great!
In a comment give the reason for your vote AND who you would want to see on the new Love Boat if it were to come back now.
Have a great Friday! ~Phil
I’ll have that in my head for a while now…NOT that I mind 🙂

OMG now I feel very old! Some things should not be resurrected and that’s one of them ..

No way! That would be a great show to revive!

Too many have lost our innocence and no longer appreciate the silly side of love. Too bad.

I don’t know. You might be right. Love may be different from generation to generation. My son though has a girlfriend he lives and it’s really nice to see

I love the thought of being in love, as elusive as it seems to be to me.
The Modern Love Boat would have to have some on-the-way-out music group…One Direction, maybe?

Ahem….One Direction IS NOT on the way out!

I thought they are disbanding?
I don’t listen to modern pop, so it was the first group i could think of lol

One member left the group last Spring. I’m not a fan but my son played me a new song by them recently and it wasn’t bad. BTW, just for you, Deadpool makes his first appearance on The Phil Factor today.

Perhaps they could add Carrot Top
A Kardashian and mother
Throw in Lindsey Lohan, and
A couple of Jonas Brothers.

You’re psychic! I considered writing in Carrot Top and the Kardashians!

You know what they say about great minds!

I’m not sure that thinking of Carrot Top and the Kardashians qualifies us as “great minds”

We need to add Betty White as the foul-mouthed mother in law to the captain.

I would bet my next paycheck that it’s not the first time Betty White has been on the love boat.

She has been on a few times.

I’d love to see anyone who’s passed. It could be a haunted cruise lol

Can you imagine! The band alone would be huge! 🙂

Would it be too much to ask for me and Hugh Jackman? Wouldn’t want it screened right enough. 😉
I can’t remember which night this showed but I have a feeling it might have been part of the Sunday night chewing gum for the brain offerings where you don’t have to concentrate too much while you mentally prep for the working week ahead. I can still see the main characters’ faces so it must have made some impact. Stoobings? I think.
