Yes, after thirty years together, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band Green Day is still breathing and still making good music. The elder statesmen of modern punk rock are one of my favorites and I’ll be seeing them again in about two months, so I thought I’d share their current hit single with you. You know they’ve become mainstream when they’re on the Ellen DeGeneres show. I’d love to interview them for #ThePhilFactor, so if anyone has any connections that could make that happen, let me know.
Have a great Monday! ~Phil
30 years? Wow! Time of my life is 20 and I felt old at that
They actually started when they were in high school. Yes, I went to my first Green Day concert on the tour when they played time of my life. For the past five years I’ve been going to Green Day concert with my son who is now 19 years old.
But we are still young at heart, right? I’m just about to embark on a journey to your motherland 🙂
Where are you going to be? I know I read it on your block somewhere recently, but I can’t remember where you said you were going.
Viva Las Vegas!
There’s an excellent chance you’ll be able to get a good path down from my brother. He is a security agent for the international flights terminal.
I’ll tell him to keep an eye out for some questionable looking folks from the UK
Haha. Yeah very questionable! No not really just in case these comments are being monitored 🙂
I may just have to phone in an anonymous tip
Yes. Tell him to look out for a sweaty pale Scottish guy who looks like he’s just travelled for 14 hours who has never been out of Europe before lol
Will do!
I can’t believe it’s been thirty years! Wow! Now I feel terribly old. 🙁
They did start when they were in high school. They are all in their mid to late 40s.
Amazing. Good for them. They’re a great band!
Love this song! 🙂
Make one feel old to think of thirty years of Green Day
