I’m taking a break from my regularly scheduled programming to self-indulgently wish myself a Happy 12th Blogiversary. Yes, that’s right, #ThePhilFactor is twelve years old today. I also believe that I am the second longest running blog in world history after this nice woman from New Zealand. We used to follow each other when I was on Blogger. As is my tradition, below this I will re-post my first blog post from April 3rd, 2005.
What Up Dawg?
Is it just me or is everyone sick of Randy Jackson’s act on American Idol? How many times can we hear, “What up dawg?” Or his other favorite, “It was a little pitchy in spots,” or “It was just ahh ight for me.” The dude is like one of those action figures where you squeeze him and he has three pre-programmed phrases he rotates through. Nearly as bad is Paula Abdul. Has anyone else noticed that this season she seems drunk every week? She loves everyone this season and seems to find an excuse to physically grab Simon Cowell every week. Considering her recent charge of leaving the scene of an accident after she clipped another car on the freeway, how ironic is it that her big 1988 hit song, Straight Up, included the line “caught in a hit and run”?
That’s it. Those were my first words to the world as The Phil Factor and I doubt anyone even read that post. I had no idea how to find other blogs and I just imagined that thousands would miraculously find and enjoy what I wrote. To be truthful, although I’ve written, I don’t know how many posts now, I’ve gotten far more back from the blogging community in the way of comments and interaction than I ever imagined. Thank you to everyone who has ever read, liked or commented on one of my posts. Have a great Sunday! To celebrate , me and my blog are going to go out and tie one on tonight. ~Phil

@MrsPaznanski I’m concerned you can’t comment. What was the error message? I’m self-hosted, so you have to sign in your name and email and website. After the first time, you shouldn’t have to.
I’m doing it from the app on my phone. It didn’t ask me to sign in with an email. The error message said “there was an unexpected error while trying to send your reply.”
Odd. I just checked. Comments are low today, but there are 3 comments.
Are any of the comments mine? I was only able to see one comment even though it showed there were two
No. And there is nothing in my Spam folder. My husband commented and he only uses his phone.
Maybe it is an issue on my end. I deleted the app and re-downloaded it and hopes of having that correct the problem. It did not.
That concerns me, I like comments, LOL. Is there any way you can try a computer?
My site seems to be online. I thought maybe that was the problem.
I ran into somebody else and had the same problem with theirs yesterday, which led me to believe that it was my app.
I just responded. It sounds like it might work when you turn your phone off and one. Let me know if that helps. Thanks,

I just asked my husband who commented on my blog today using his phone. He recommends you shut your phone off and turn it on again. That usually solves problems for us. Can you please try that and let me know? Thanks!
