Hello new co-workers! It was wonderful to meet you this week and I look forward to working with most of you. Let’s be honest, there were a couple in our training class who are on the chopping block already.
Congratulations, you have found the world famous The Phil Factor blog! Yes, it’s me, that guy in your training class who when asked for my name, where I’m from and a personal piece of information, said I was a writer. When pressed about my writing I said I had a blog and a handful of novels. (Feel free to buy them for your Kindle, in paperback or on Audible. You know approximately how much I make, so you know that it would be nice to have a little extra income)

You might be wondering why I wouldn’t tell you where to find my blog on the world wide web. I’ve been writing this blog for almost twenty years. In the 90’s I did a little stand up comedy here and there but when my children were born, my wife wasn’t so keen about me going to bars, doing stand-up on the weekends. So I took to the internet to make my jokes.
The main theme of my blog is humor. I make lighthearted jokes about current events, politics, religion, and just about anything I can think of. I’ve been doing this for almost twenty years, encompassing thousands of blog posts, so if you read everything I’ve written, there’s a good chance you’re not going to like something I’ve said. It’s a joke Karen, lighten up!

Although, I’m mostly humor, I will often deviate into things like the paranormal and my psychic abilities. I will still try to make those topics funny as well.
I hope that you, my new besties for the next few years, have a good sense of humor. Coworker, if you have found my blog, you’re welcome to enjoy reading my inane thoughts. But please only take me seriously at work. You finding this is like that time when you woke up an hour earlier than usual and discovered that Larry and Geena next door do naked yoga in the backyard at 6 a.m. And don’t lie to me, I’m psychic, I know how long you watched them.
Have a great Thursday and I hope you all have a safe flight home! Thanks for reading! ~Phil
I hope your coworkers enjoy your humor. Mine never did.
Here’s to hoping! They seemed to enjoy me in person. Hopefully they won’t take offense here
Doubtful.
Did you actually send a link to your blog, to your fellow training course attendees? I hope so!
No, of course I didn’t! One or two might go looking for my blog, but most of them will probably forget. I don’t want them to find it because you never know what someone will take offense at, and might cause trouble at work for me. Some people don’t have a sense of humor about certain topics, and I’ve made fun of a lot of topics over the years.
Yes, I guess that’s true that some people don’t see the funny side of things. I read so much which has a greater potentially to offend, though!
Thanks. Yes, when I do approach topics that might push people’s buttons I try to make my jokes palatable to everyone. And btw thanks for still coming around here even when it’s been a while since I last wrote.
I love reading your stuff. And I’ve not forgotten about the cryptid piece that we talked about. I’m watching some cryptid horrors to try and inspire me!
I’d love to have you as a guest on my blog. As you’re a cat person, maybe you could write about paranormal beliefs about cats
Oooohhh, and there are plenty of those!
