I’m sure that many of you have seen the online ads about this Code for The People . It’s about how the internet became “for the people”. It’s about how our beloved WordPress came about and how the internet became a wide open, free for everyone, place where we can all have opinions and to find our people and sometimes finding ourselves. The documentary is only twenty minutes and includes interviews with the people that created WordPress.
This brief documentary gave me the warm fuzzies. I know I’m here rarely lately, but this blog was started in 2005, and for about twenty years it was my home. I posted five times a week and met so many of you that are brilliant, thoughtful funny and real friends. So if you want to know more about our hobby, give this a watch and you’ll feel like part of something bigger and more important than “just writing a blog.”
