The band Joywave is from my hometown and they went to the same high school as one of my sons. About four weeks ago they were on Jimmy Kimmel Live! They’re currently very popular in the alternative rock world and I genuinely liked them before I knew they were local. They played at the South By Southwest Festival last week and I may go to see them when they play a hometown gig this summer.
