Wordless Wednesday: Aurora Borealis Over Greenland

Northern-Lights

From the end of September to the middle of April, an incredible six to seven months, is aurora borealis, or Northern Lights, season in Greenland. That picture isn’t a fake. I’ve never been to #Greenland but I have been fortunate to see aurora borealis three times in my life and one was a really big one. The only other natural phenomena as incredible is a great sunset. And yes, I am still shamelessly trying to lure someone from Greenland to my blog. BTW, come back Friday. I have a GREAT guest interview. Have a great Wednesday! ~Phil

Wordless Wednesday! Street Art

I don’t know the story behind this one. I just turned a corner and there it was on the side of a building with a fox. Have a great Wednesday! ~Phil

Wordless Wednesday: A Scuplture

I find this sculpture eerie because the head is suspened in air. Sadly it’s suspended by it’s own tears. I came across this in an office building and as I was taking a picture of it a woman who worked in the building came up to me and commented that she didn’t like it but was stuck seeing it every day outside her office.

Hopefully you have a cheerier day than the subject of this sculpture! ~Phil

Wordless Wednesday? What Is Your Purpose?

Ironically my Wordless Wednesday is a picture of words.

I drive by this regularly. I find it very annoying because it seems like an accusation that I’m not doing what I should be. There’s alot of nice inspirational things painted around my city, but I don’t like this one. What do you think?

Wordless Wednesday! Sunflower Party

This is another of the murals you can find in my city. It’s called Sunflower Party and was created by Jay Lincoln.

Wordless Wednesday: Street Art

This one is from a building in San Juan, Puerto Rico. How tall must the ladder have been to paint this?

Wordless Wednesday: Another Awesome Mural

This one is four stories high and I think it’s pretty awesome. Up close it’s impressive and I did take a picture, but my camera phone doesn’t do it justice. It was done by artist Addison Karl last August.  It reminds me of that old Maxell commercial with this guy:

Wordless Wednesday: Las Vegas Ferris Wheel

Let’s be honest, I might as well call this Few Words Wednesday because I’m never capable of being wordless. The High Roller opened in March 2014 and is the world’s highest observation wheel. The picture is by my brother who lives in Vegas. I hear that the Brits have built one just like it in London. I can’t believe they stole this great idea. Have a great Wednesday! ~Phil
